MOBILE FOOD PANTRIES

  • We take food to the streets by partnering with churches and sponsoring 10 Mobile Food Pantries throughout the spring, summer, and fall months. For our efforts we are feeding around 500 individuals at each event.

SUMMER CAMP
  • Every summer we sponsor approximately 40 children to Bayshore Camp in Sebewaing, MI for a week long adventure. The camp experience teaches the children Christian values, while providing swimming, canoeing, zip lining, singing, games, and chances to make lifelong friends.
  • If you are interested in your child attending camp this summer, please contact us to gain the required forms to register.
  • We will be attending camp from July 21 - 26, 2013.

BACK TO SCHOOL PROGRAM
  • For many years we have been running a Back-to-School program to help children start each school year on the right foot.
  • We receive referrals from DHS and other agencies.
  • In the beginning, we helped about 10 children; this last year we were able to help over 181 children.
  • Some of the items the children receive are shoe vouchers to purchase new school shoes; school supplies like pencils, crayons, paper, notebooks, and backpacks; and new clothing or uniforms.
  • Parents come in to pick up everything before school starts.

THANKSGIVING DINNER BOXES

  • Since 2009, we have been helping approximately 100 families receive a feast for Thanksgiving Day.
  • We provide each family with the traditional Thanksgiving Meal with a meat voucher for purchasing their turkey.

CHRISTMAS - ADOPTING FAMILIES

  • We receive information about families through the DHS.
  • Our Director calls family to get ages, sizes, and wish lists for children and adults.
  • Volunteers come in to wrap gifts.
  • Families come in the week before Christmas to pick up wrapped packages.
